May the Fourth be with you!
May 4th has become the universally accepted day of the year when everyone travels to a galaxy far far away to celebrate all things “Star Wars”. Whether originals or new trilogy, this is the perfect day to show you’re a fan of the Star Wars series. Both of us grew up watching Star Wars, and now in our long-distance relationship we want to celebrate this special day together.
When you’re in a long distance relationship, it might be a challenge to come up with some ways to have a fun Star Wars themed online date; so we’ve put together a list of great ideas and online resources for you and your partner. Whether you are a Jedi knight or have moved to the dark side try a few of these ideas to celebrate: and may the force be with you!
Star Wars Movie Marathon Long Distance Date
Choose your favorite Star Wars movies and settle in for an evening packed with adventure. I’d personally recommend the original trilogy, but maybe you’re looking to catch yourself up with the newer series or the spin-off movies. Disney+ is a great resource to find all the movies and watch them online together using the “GroupWatch” feature.
To celebrate this special day, Lucasfilm and The Walt Disney Company have are putting fan art from all over the world as the cover art for the classics on Disney+. Check it out on their website or by watching the films for yourself on Disney+.
Photoshop photos with a lightsaber
What is more Star Wars than a photo of you both weilding a lightsaber? Choose your favorite colours, or do research to choose the best lightsaber colours for you and your partner. Maybe get creative and show you both fighting in a duel!
Choose the dark side or show your inner Jedi Knight with the cutest nerdy photo ever. Definitely a good way to make a memory together while still long-distance.
Even if photo editing isn’t your thing, you can still do it easily using the PicsArt app: just add a lightsaber sticker and voila! You’re a Jedi.
